PDF to Word Converter — FAQs

How do I convert a PDF to Word for free?

Choose your PDF here and press Convert to Word. The tool reads the text from every page and builds a genuine .docx file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice — download it as document.docx. No signup and no watermark.

Does it handle Urdu text correctly?

Yes. Many official Pakistani PDFs (such as NADRA/CRMS certificates) store Urdu letters in visual order, which other converters export backwards. This tool detects that form and restores the correct reading order, and marks Urdu paragraphs as right-to-left in the Word document.

Is the page layout preserved?

No — honestly, layout is not preserved. The tool converts the text of the PDF into flowing Word paragraphs: pictures, tables and exact positioning do not carry over. If you need the document's exact appearance, use the PDF Editor tool instead.

Does it work on scanned PDFs or photos of documents?

No. Scanned pages and photos contain no extractable text — only pixels. The converter will report that it found no text. A scanned document would first need OCR (text recognition), which this browser tool does not do.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is read and the Word document is built entirely inside your own browser on your own device. Your file is never uploaded, sent or stored anywhere.

Which apps can open the downloaded file?

The download is a real Office Open XML (.docx) file. It opens and edits in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, WPS Office, LibreOffice and the Microsoft Word mobile app — on any phone or computer.
