What is Al Sharq?

Al Sharq (alsharqservices.com) is a free online toolkit with 111 practical tools: text utilities, image tools, financial and everyday calculators, unit converters, password and QR generators, SEO helpers, developer utilities, color tools, and time tools — plus a full-featured PDF Editor. Every tool is free to use, with no account and no signup.

Our most popular tools include the Image Compressor, QR Code Generator, Password Generator, Word Counter, and the PDF toolkit (convert, merge, and edit PDF files). Everything works in any modern browser — on mobile, tablet, or desktop — and the site can be installed as a progressive web app (PWA) for quick offline-style access to your favorite tools.

Why we built it

Everyday digital tasks — compressing a photo before sending it, counting words in an essay, generating a secure password, converting units for a recipe — shouldn't require installing shady apps or handing your data to strangers. We built this hub so anyone can get these jobs done in seconds, right in the browser.

Many "free" utility sites are cluttered with pop-ups, misleading download buttons, and tracking scripts. We take a different approach: clean pages, clear buttons, and honest tools that do exactly what they say. If a tool asks you to type something, the processing happens on your device — not on a stranger's server.

Privacy by design

Unlike many "free" tools sites, our tools run entirely on your device. Your images are compressed locally, your text is counted locally, your passwords are generated locally. How is it free?

Al Sharq is supported by advertising. The ads you see on the site are deliberately kept minimal — we believe a tools site should look professional and load fast, so ad spaces are limited and never interfere with the tools themselves. Advertising revenue pays for hosting, domain renewals, and the time it takes to build and maintain new tools. There are no premium tiers, no paywalled features, and no "pro" versions: every tool is free for everyone.

Who runs this site?

Al Sharq is an independent project run from Pakistan, maintained alongside real-world shop and office work — which is why the tools focus on genuinely useful, everyday tasks rather than gimmicks. The site is owned and operated by the Al Sharq project team; day-to-day maintenance, tool development, and content updates are handled in-house.

Our commitments
