1. The service

Al Sharq provides free, browser-based utility tools (calculators, converters, generators, text/image utilities, and a PDF Editor) at alsharqservices.com and pdf.alsharqservices.com. No account is required and the tools are provided free of charge. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

The site is available to users of all ages. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please use the site with a parent or guardian's permission. There are no restricted or age-gated sections of the site.

3. Your license to use the site

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the site and its tools for lawful purposes. You may use tool outputs (generated QR codes, compressed images, converted text, downloaded files) freely for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the disclaimers in section 5 and the acceptable-use rules in section 4.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the tools or the site. Prohibited behavior includes:

• Attempting to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or other users' devices.
• Using generated content (QR codes, documents, text, images) for fraud, deception, phishing, spam, or any unlawful purpose.
• Scraping the site at a rate that degrades service for others, or circumventing any technical protections.
• Misrepresenting tool outputs as official documents, certifications, or endorsements.

We may restrict or block access for users who violate these rules.

5. No professional advice

Financial calculators (loan, interest, salary, zakat), health calculators (BMI, calorie), and unit/currency converters provide estimates for general information only. They are not financial, medical, tax, or legal advice. Currency rates shown are indicative static figures, not live market data. Always verify important decisions with a qualified professional before acting on any calculation or conversion.

6. Advertising

The site is supported by advertising, which is what keeps all tools free. Ads are kept minimal by policy and are clearly separated from tool content. Advertisements are provided by third-party networks (such as Google AdSense); we do not endorse advertised products or services, and any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Tools may be updated, improved, changed, or removed without notice — for example, when a tool is replaced by a better version or when maintaining it is no longer practical. We may also update the site's design, add new sections, or adjust these terms as the project evolves.

8. Intellectual property

The site's design, branding (including the "Al Sharq" name and logo), and tool implementations are owned by the Al Sharq project and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the site's code, design, or branding in a way that suggests affiliation with or endorsement by Al Sharq, without our written permission. Tool outputs (section 3) remain free for you to use as you wish.

9. Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party websites or services (for example, advertising networks or reference sources). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Visiting them is at your own discretion.

10. Limitation of liability

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Al Sharq project and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its outputs — including any financial, health, or legal decisions made on the basis of calculator results.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Al Sharq project and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" line at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the current version. Material changes will be noted in the revision date so returning users can spot them.
