WiFi QR Code Generator — FAQs
Is it safe to share my WiFi password with a QR code?
The code contains exactly what you type, so anyone who scans it can read the password. Keep printed codes in a trusted space and reprint if staff changes. The code is built entirely in your browser — your password is never uploaded anywhere.
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhones running iOS 11 or later join automatically when the camera sees the code, and most Android 10+ phones do the same. Older phones may need a free QR scanner app, but the code format is a universal standard.
What if my network has no password?
Choose the No password (open network) option and leave the password field alone — it is disabled automatically. The generated code will connect guests directly without asking for a password, which suits cafes and waiting areas.
Is my WiFi password sent to any server?
No. Everything happens locally in your browser; the QR code is generated on your device and nothing is transmitted or stored. You can disconnect from the internet entirely after the page loads and it will still work.
