Image Resizer
Set any width and height for your photo, keep the proportions locked, and download the resized image instantly.
Need a profile photo at exactly 800 by 600, or a banner at 1920 by 1080? This free image resizer changes any JPG, PNG or WebP photo to the exact dimensions you type, with an optional aspect-ratio lock so nothing gets stretched. Handy presets cover the most common sizes, and the resized image downloads straight from your browser.
Upload an image first. With aspect ratio locked, changing width updates height automatically.
How to use the Image Resizer
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image, then type the width and height you need or pick a preset from the dropdown.
- Keep the aspect ratio box ticked so the photo never stretches; change either value and the other adjusts itself.
- Press Resize to render the new image, then Download resized image to save it to your device.
Image Resizer โ FAQs
Is this image resizer free to use?
Yes, completely free with no signup and no limits on how many photos you resize. The tool works entirely inside your browser, so there are no upload queues, no watermarks added to your pictures, and no charges now or later.
What does keep aspect ratio do?
It locks the original width-to-height proportion. When it is ticked, typing a new width automatically recalculates the height so the photo never looks stretched or squashed. Untick it only when you deliberately want an exact size, such as a fixed banner dimension.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Your image is read locally with the FileReader API and resized on a canvas in your browser. It never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and is never stored. Your private photos stay private.
What format is the downloaded image?
The tool keeps your original format: JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG and WebP stays WebP. PNG keeps any transparency. Note that resizing a small image up to a large size will look soft, because no new detail is created โ shrink large photos rather than enlarging small ones.
