Is this image cropper free?
Yes, completely free with no signup and no limits. Crop as many images as you like, as often as you like. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so there are no queues, no watermarks and no charges.
What do the X and Y values mean?
X and Y are the pixel coordinates of the top-left corner of your crop, measured from the top-left of the original image. Width and height set how many pixels to keep. Values are clamped automatically so the crop can never run past the image edge.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Your image is read locally and cropped on a canvas inside your own browser. It never leaves your device, never reaches our servers and is never stored anywhere, so your pictures stay completely private.
Does cropping reduce quality?
No — cropping simply keeps the original pixels inside your selected region, so the downloaded PNG is pixel-identical to that part of your photo. Unlike resizing or heavy compression, nothing is re-encoded, resized or softened.
