Color Picker Pro — FAQs

Which color format should I copy for my project?

Use HEX for most CSS work — it is compact and universally supported. Copy RGB when you need to add transparency, since rgba() accepts an alpha channel. Use HSL when you plan to adjust the color later, because changing lightness or saturation is far more intuitive than editing three separate RGB channels.

How does the recent colors history work?

Every time you confirm a pick in the color dialog, that color is added to your recent list, keeping the latest eight. Clicking a swatch reselects it and copies its HEX code at the same time, which is handy when you are sampling several shades and want to compare their values side by side.

Does the history persist after I close the tab?

No — the recent colors live only in the page's memory and are cleared when you refresh or close the tab. This keeps the tool lightweight and private by design. If you need a permanent record, copy the HEX codes into your notes or design file before leaving the page.

Does the color picker track what I pick?

No. The picker is your browser's native color control and every conversion runs locally in JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored in cookies or local storage, and there is no account — your color choices never leave your device, period.
