Percentage Calculator โ FAQs
Is this percentage calculator free?
Yes, it is completely free with no signup and no limits. Use it for discounts, exam marks, salary changes, homework or any other percentage problem, and every answer is computed privately in your own browser without anything being stored.
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Choose the increase/decrease mode, enter the old value in the From box and the new value in the To box. The tool subtracts the old value from the new one, divides by the old value and multiplies by 100, showing whether it is an increase or a decrease.
What is the difference between percent of and percentage change?
Percent of finds a slice of a number, like 20 percent of 150. Percentage change compares two numbers, like a price moving from 80 to 100, which is a 25 percent increase. This calculator handles both, so just pick the right mode.
Is my data sent anywhere when I calculate?
No. All calculations run in your web browser with JavaScript on your device. The numbers you enter never leave your device, are never uploaded and are never stored, so the tool is fully and completely private.
